The Netherlands has been a trading nation for many centuries and has an enviable reputation, being an important place for numerous leading companies worldwide. Even nationals from other EU member states are required to register with the Dutch immigration authorities. Not doing so may cause the Dutch immigration authorities to request that an individual leaves the country.
